Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to lead a high-impact, multi-million-dollar software initiative for a major telecom client. This role involves overseeing a large hybrid team (onshore and offshore), ensuring timely and high-quality delivery, and serving as the key technical liaison between our organization and client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and scale a 20–25 person full-stack development team across global (onshore/offshore) locations
- Drive Agile delivery including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and execution of user stories
- Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to define epics, features, and UI/UX requirements
- Ensure technical feasibility, quality, and architectural consistency across deliverables
- Manage team performance, resource planning, and hiring in coordination with recruiting teams
- Act as a customer-facing technical leader, effectively communicating architecture decisions and delivery updates
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in software development, including 3+ years in a team leadership role
- Proven experience managing full-stack development teams and delivering enterprise-grade solutions
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure), microservices, and containerized environments (e.g., Kubernetes)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Technology Leadership, Telecom Management, or a related field
- Experience working with telecom clients or in telecom-focused projects
- Certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, SAFe, or cloud certifications (AWS, Azure)
